Like a magpie, I find things, I fancy them and bring them home.  A once happily single girl, founding member of HKM and general purveyor of good times happily becomes mother, common law wife and career woman.  Who just wants to remember it all.

 

 

 

I started writing (publicly) when I moved to Toronto in 2006 as a way to mass communicate what was happening in my life.  I started on myspace, moved to a now defunct MSN space, wrote some notes on facebook, wrote for a while over on Blogger and finally ended up here.

 

I moved to Toronto to escape a life destined to be miserable–a change of scenery, potential opportunity and a chance to change the way I thought about things was waiting on the other side of Lake Ontario for me and I’ve never looked back.  That move is quite possibly the most influential decision I’ll ever make in my entire life.

 

I moved in with a roommate, and we essentially went wild for 3 years partying all over Toronto, and celebrating our young lives to the max at every turn.  We started HKM, a weekly gathering for those in the know, where laughs are shared, lives are inspired and copious amounts of food are consumed.  We laughed, we cried, we ate a lot.

 

Then I met Martin.

 

I continued to laugh, cry and eat a lot but suddenly my life changed trajectory.  I’d found my true love, my soul mate and ultimate kindred spirit.  We met, met again, fell in love, moved in together, and along came Marigold

 

I am so grateful for the life that I’ve lived, and for the choices I’ve made and I just don’t want to forget any of it.  My dreams came true, and while I may be light years away from them now, I’ve got something far greater and more amazing than anything I could’ve dreamed about. The love in my life far exceeds what I ever could’ve expected and I write so that I can never forget.   I want to remember it all.
